Thanks, Laurie. As I've said before, anyone can do them and have fun too. If you have any questions, I'm always happy to help people get started. I'm sure yours are great, too. We are our own worst critics.

My neighbor made these lovely macramé hangers for my pot and basket. I picked up two baskets at a garage sale. I gave her the second one for her work and I paid for the craft's materials. Delightful.

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Gorgeous! I did a lot of macrame back in the 70's! I was allergic to the jute dust so I didn't continue to do it but I do love the look and they are very useful and decorative.

Those are beautiful - thank you so much for sharing them with us.

Ditto on macrame back in the 70's - I wonder if I could remember how to do it. I love it when what is old is new again. Green Grin! Thumbs up

I'm the same way. I love it when I see young people knitting or crocheting. I hope young people are discovering quilting. It's all so much fun,and so creative.

Love them. I used to do a lot of macramé in the day. I still have all my books, a bunch of cords, beads, and rings. I would like to start making things again but I'm afraid that the arthritis in my hands would be too painful. Wish I had someone I could pass my material down to. I think I will see if I can get one of my grandchildren interested in it.

Great idea, Jeanne! A crafty young person could have a lot of fun, and make gifts for their parents and friends. When my girls were young (around 7) I taught them to cross stitch. They made personalized gifts for everyone for years and loved it. Now they're too busy with jobs and families but hopefully they can get back to it later on.

plantmanager said:Wonderful! It's fun, and something that can be done in little bits of time. If you put on a few pieces, it's good to let the glue dry before putting on more pieces. I lay the flowerpot down in a bowl cushioned with a wash cloth or dish towel. That way you can work on it flat. Let it dry, and turn it to work on another side. If you leave it sitting upright, the pieces start sliding down. I keep an old dental pick, or toothpicks ready to clean off excess glue that squeezes out if you put too much on. I'll love seeing what you make!

Wow. I just love it
