And how long will you have blooms for Rob and Sherry? Do they keep going through May?

Well, last year was an anomaly, and it looks like this year is going to be as well.. I've got buds coming on several right now, but most of the pack isn't close.. I do suspect our normal bloom season will be at least a week early.. I've tried to time my trip to the Netherlands at the end of March so that I wouldn't miss most of my Iris going off.. Now I'm not so sure...

Sherry, how long will you be in the Netherlands? You may have to assign someone to take photos for you!

Leslie, last season I had something blooming nearly non stop until July. Then nothing for a couple of weeks, then some blooms again in late August that lasted only a day in the heat.

We discovered a bloom in the Airlbred bed. It's one of Marilyn's arilmed seedlings.

Carl, I don't particularly like the open form and was thinking of rehoming the whole thing, but it has performed so brilliantly the last few months I have to keep at least a piece of it around.

Oh wow, is Hell's Fire really that dark? I've been looking for a dark vibrant red and if that lighting is accurate I must have it!!!

I'm feeling left out! I live about 1.5 hours away from Rob and 2.5 hours away from Sherry. As of 3 days ago I didn't have a single stalk forming and many of my irises are very small...just getting started. I wonder if the warm winter and the lack of water last summer have 'stunted' them.

I asked Rick and Roger about fertilizing and they said they do it about mid February. I'm going to pick up some more fertilizer from them early next week and treat my plants in hopes that it will give them a boost!

All we have is snow & no plants in bloom. Come the end of March, crocus might start.

But you will probably have water in August. We had some rain last night, but not that much. This dry February is starting to worry me.

Carl - that seedling is a gorgeous color! And I am enjoying seeing more of Hell's Fire.
