I spent most of my day sanding rust off this old metal stand. Had to come in for breaks, just too warm for me. Now I have to get some rustoleum spray paint, don't know just what color I want yet. I'm going to set at least one of my styrofoam containers on the top. The only help I got so far is DH getting me some sandpaper for my palm sander. Got to make a list of things I need, I won't remember any other way. Rolling my eyes.

This is one of the containers painted green, have another green one and 3 unpainted ones. I may end up with styrofoam containers throughout my yard. Hilarious!

Bought dark blue spray paint to paint my metal stand with,

Now that I've gotten information on buying cheap paint, the ones customers ordered than didn't take or not right color, I'm in a paint mode. Got a quart of Behr in a tan color for $1. Can't beat that price and I'm sure I can use the paint on some project.

It was on one of these forums, now I jump from DG to Cubits to ATP so just can't remember. But apparently a lot of these girls buy their paint this way. Of course, you don't have a choice in colors. I'm surprised that mistakes happen since they just punch in colors into computer and they you have the right color. I think one mentioned Wal-Mart, will have to check on that too. BTW a quart of paint isn't a real quart any more, just like everything else, less product and more money. I wouldn't know a lot of these things if I didn't read everything here. Hurray!

Most places that mix paint have a shelf of 'mistakes' and it is amazing to see the discount that you get for them.

Our Home Depot puts their 'mistakes' out every Monday morning. I agree. I was able to paint my bedroom for a couple of dollars. Thumbs up More plant money I say!

Hi Anthony. : )
Wow, look at all that styrofoam. I bet it works great to start seedlings. I would think it wouldn't let them dry out as fast as other containers would. Do you grow all your lilies in containers?

Good morning June. Not sure what time it is for you. : ) I don't think I ever asked what you grow? When when will you be moving back to the States?

Hi Debbie, how does your garden grow? Smiling

Well, it was in DG that I first found out about rejected paint. Now, what didn't I know this years ago, because I never thought of asking. I'm now on a mission to find "rejected" paints, every room in my house needs painting and if I could do it at a great price that would make me happy. See, I learn something new on these threads every day. Smiling DH told me that years ago a young man where he worked came by with a big truck load of "rejected" paint, company just told him to get rid of it. Now he tells me, could have used paint then too as I always painted inside of the place we lived. Now I'm wondering how he got rid of it, didn't have places to take it in those days.

Our local landfill offers free paint. But it is all grey in color because the mix all of it together and put it in 5 gal. plastic buckets. We painted the outside of our house with it 4 years ago and it still looks like we just painted it.
