Looking forward to pics of Ivory Prince, Bob. It's one I've been heavily considering ... perhaps when I order my H. foetidus from Pine Knot. I know, I better get on it!

These berries are just florescent red this time of year, real good color.

I love - and have- some of them, too - but watch your state's invasives/ invasive threat lists for Nandina - I guess because of the lovely berries and their ability to grow in the shade? they can be a problem in some places.

At the other house I lived in the ones planted in front of the storm drain were eight feet tall and had little baby nandinas at the base. Very easy to pluck out. Here I have never had a seedling. Less moisture and lots of mulch. Also Butterfly bushes are supposed to be invasive but in an area where there is frost they always dye down to the ground each year and have never been a problem. I have noticed, btw, that they have some new cultivars that are sterile. Green Grin! I bought one from Santa Rosa called 'Asian Moon' it is beautiful. Our friends in Georgia and Florida will be happy. Also Lantana, I have no problem but if you talk to people in Georgia it's another story, they are just cussing. Blinking Again, there are new ones out that are sterile, as a matter of fact I think mine are sterile, because they are fairly new cultivars, just bought them last year. I have never seen any seeds at all. Thumbs up

Nice! I went somewhere yesterday and saw something I had forgotten about and it was stunning, I got to squeeze one in somewhere. It's called a 'Sky Pencil.' Green Grin! I also saw a Redbud in full bloom and various Saucer Magnolias. Our weather is so crazy all the trees think it is spring. Blinking

Same here, Susan. I noticed yesterday on my way to the store that some of the magnolias and the Bradford pears had burst into full bloom already. They are even ahead of my Redbud this year.

Is the 'Sky Pencil' you are talking about the one that's a holly? I love those. Lovey dubby
