I thought I saw a new tree-mail about one of my pics, but on returning to my box, I couldn't find it. Is that possible?

Maybe it was a thread you saw?

Thanks! I thought it was a tree-mail, but obviously not.

Since this thread is titled Tree-mail I thought I'd post here instead of starting a new thread.

I guess there is no way to permanently delete Tree-Mail ? I'm guessing *if* NOT, that that's a safety factor for NGA?

Teresa, I just opened one of my tree-mails to check and at the top of the tree-mail, I see the following:

Delete this - Mark as unread - First unread

You have to keep in mind that a tree mail is a two party communication. Deleting it on your end does not remove it from the other side of the conversation.

I routinely clean my emails out, keeping only those I might want to reference in the future.

You can create more folders, to store old t-mails...at least, I do that, and remove older ones from my inbox to the other folders.

But then, from any of those other folders, including the "Deleted" folder, you can NO further delete them out permanently?

I wished I had a screen capture so I could paste it and it would be easier to follow. Will be changing computers here soon to post here at NGA, so hopefully on that computer I will learn how to do a screen capture and paste it here.

But Deb, have you ever tried to clean out your "Deleted" box.

When I try, by placing a check-mark in the little box next to it and try to click on "deleted", it is my understanding that that would simply try to move it to the "Deleted" box where it already resides. The only other option would be to "Move to Inbox" - that's not the correct wording listed in the Tree-Mail.

I don't believe you can delete-delete, but I could be wrong. Why would that be any sort of issue? Just don't open that folder. I actually didn't realize I could create new folders, which I just did and will find that quite useful. Some notes have good info for future reference, others can just be quickly read then moved to the delete folder.

You can not permanently delete tree mails. By putting tree mails into a Trash or Deleted folder they are out of sight. I have to say there have been a few times when I found I needed a deleted tree mail back again so it was a good thing they were still there.
