I really love upright hostas, I will have to check that one out, can't be but so scary right. I do not have Autumn Frost either, still on my wish list. I have Robert Frost and First Frost and I really get my Frosties mixed up!

Thank you Bob for the link, I think it is nice but it looks a lot like one I already have called Dragon's Eye and it is very upright and has the reddish-black petioles.

Just wondering where you guys have purchased from and were happy with. I don't care to pay extra for a nice size plant.
So many that I would love to have in the giants and large size but I am out of shade :(

NGP is the most reasonably priced ones that I've bought from, and they send nice plants. They don't have their list for this year yet, though.

They are field grown in Wisconsin, so shipping depends on the weather!

I order from them every year, and have always been very pleased with their hostas that they've sent. I got 'Alliteration' from them last year and am anxious to see it this spring! (Actually, I'm ready to see anything in my flower beds sprouting about now!)

They send big, beautiful plants! I usually pot up my new ones until I figure out where I'm planting them, but some of their hostas won't fit into a gallon pot!

WOW!!!!!! Thanks for the tip rose, that will be my next order from place, lest I get out to a local nursery and find a sale. But for mail orders it sounds like a real winner and the prices looked really reasonable.

I have ordered from Bluestone Perennials. They have nice size plants, not huge but very well packed.

When did you last order?? Now they have those Coco pots.

I just got a Bluestone catalog and found a few things that I might have to order! Never ordered from them before, but I've read good reviews.

Lots of bad PR on that company! I have never ordered from them but they are have problems with the coco pots Susan has pictured above! Not sure if I read that here or DG.

I ordered about three things and one was a Hosta Gold Standard, it came in the coco pot and dried up really fast and I think it might have died because I had no idea they would dry up so fast.

hmm I ordered 2 yrs ago. Mine wasn't in those type pots. I have been looking at Ensata's website for Japanese Iris and didn't even know that they sold Hosta! Anyone ordered hosta there? I haven't ordered from them but I love J. Iris and could have them shipped together.

Never heard of them but I think they are new, why not give them a try, somebodies gota do it! I already did my good deed as far as new companies. I ordered hostas from a very nice man who owns, http://www.gogardennow.com/, bless his heart he only had six hostas but he had some beautiful perennials and I got two hostas and a veronica. Thats what you got to do! These companies don't have bad reviews, they have NO reviews and so somebody has got to give them a chance. Go for it.

I think Bluestone has been mentioned on DG quite a bit. Could be wrong, though! So...maybe I shouldn't order from them? Maybe I'll just stick with the coops!
