Reminds me of Granny Laurie's Rose that is growing up the side of my house and onto my roof. I failed to prune it last year and it stayed green all winter, now it's covered in buds and everybody who drops by stops and stares and says 'That rose is gonna eat your house.'
And I say, 'Let it!'
It came from the mountains and the home of my great grandmother many years ago. I figure it deserves a chance to do whatever it wants to do. Besides, it sure is pretty draped over that back corner of my house. I wrote an article about it last year, it's around here somewhere; fun memories.
I call that kind of thing, including Gordon's photo, 'Nature's Art'. There's just something about letting nature do whatever she wants, ya know?
