Those look great, Tam. They will look beautiful planted with flowers. We should never look at a worn out old wooden chair the same way. Something else to add to my curbside pick-ups. Whistling Just as long as I don't get arrested somewhere along the line. Ya'll come bail me out, if I do.

One time I stopped to snag a big cardboard box set out on the curb and some guy went ballistic. I didn't bother to tell him it wasn't on his property anymore. Didn't seem like the type you could reason with very easily. And he obviously wasn't into recycling either. Glare

Your chairs would also be pretty sealed and used as a trellis for flowering vines. I despise paying the prices they ask for trellises at the stores these days. So flimsy. So I find something else to use. That's what it's all about, right?
I garden for the pollinators.

I had an old chair was using it as a trellis,it was so funny i went out was walking up the steps there was that chair laying on the ground...Like it just gave up fell apart like a puzzle pieces laying in order, you could tell it was once a chair... Rolling on the floor laughing Im using the remaining ladderback as the trellis now..

Seems like that fella would have liked the fact you were ridding the neiborhood of some recycle-ables...hmmff..too bad for him... Shrug!
I put stuff out by the road all the time, with a free sign, its never there when I get home... Whistling

Yes chairs with no seat are adorable as a trellis, cheap too..ive tucked back a few new old chairs for me,1 with a woven seat thats about ready to come apart, and a little rocking chair...

Oh I was thinking about sealing all the chairs...and making Care tags...If I have time to seal them,Im sure I will, wont beable to stand not doing it...perfectionist...at work Green Grin! Green Grin! Green Grin!

Nice chairs, Tamara, and great for the Humane Society that they get the benefit.

My latest is a metal stool with a curved back. I just painted a rooster on it. I thought about painting a nest on the seat part, but then realized roosters don't usually sit on a nest, do they?

Great looking chairs Tamara. No Sharon the roosters don't sit the nest but they do like to tear them up.

I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

Shannon, I had an old chair I bought for a whopping 25 cents (pre digital camera or I would show you) and I set a larger pot in the whole . . . the lip keeps it from falling through.
