The first two are one that I've had for years. I showed pictures of it after I repotted it last fall. The plants had been in the garden bed and were attacked by voles. They had ate a lot of the roots off of them and damaged many crowns. The voles had destroyed the huge bed I had of them. I did have alot left, 84 tiny damaged plants that were about the size of a big pencil. I potted them up into 3 & 5 gallon pots. Now, they are thriving.

BIG SMILE, happy in their new homes!!

CHERRY VALENTINE X LADY BETTY FRETZ----I started with 25 seeds of this cross in 2006. I now have 55 pots of this with colors of red, purple, yellow, yellow with red eyes, yellow with purple eyes and more that I don't remember. I love this little 4" blooming plant. It holds up well in the heat of the day.

Great seedlings, Mona. My favs are the red ones and the SC Cranberry Kid seedling. I saw three blooms in your photo. I'll bet it would be awesome in a big clump. You asked if I had noticed differences in color. I really haven't noticed any difference. What I have noticed is a decrease in bud count on nearly all the daylilies this year. I don't know if was the very warm weather, followed by freezing temps or if it is because I set too many pods on them last year. Whistling Whistling Actually, come to think of it, some that never set pods for me still have a lower bud count. I have used the same fertilizer regimen, except this year i did not use Epsom salts. I read somewhere, maybe on ATP that it can affect colors in daylilies. I am sure yours are enjoying all the special attention you have given them.

I've been so swamped this last week, I think I met myself coming around the greenhouse one time and didn't even know it was me!! I have had more blooms than I ever dreamed of and it's been like heaven on Earth. My problem, I don't know how to say, I don't need to take that picture or I don't need to put pollen on every bloom in the garden. Ok, not every bloom, there are alot I don't pollinate but if I ever let the thought enter my mind that one bloom would look good crossed with "this one", I'm lost. Today, I stopped about 2pm and went inside. I set down to eat and was so tired, I went to sleep. I feel so much better tonight!! A good nap just works wonders for an old body. Still, I've got to get used to letting some things go.

So, here are a some of my babies:
