This planting is a work in progress. The rocks are native and very heavy ...

The weeds are native too. I would have lots more, but I layered cardboard moving boxes under the mulch in that bed. My neighbors thought it was nuts, but it worked. It would have worked better if I had removed all the packing tape first ..... live and learn.

The coral geraniums don't work here. I will move them back into a pot. True orange, yellow, brick red work best in this planting ....especially when the ditch lilies are blooming.

Ditch lilies and roses in the same planting may not be for everyone, but it is the plan. Spotted tiger lilies are also in the planting, but not blooming yet. The rose and lilies are in amended soil. The Ditch lilies are growing on top of tree roots and rocks.

The planting needs work and wedding....
