Salvia microphylla "hot lips" blooms here spring to fall. Sometimes it flags in midsummer, but a quick light shear and it continues until frost. Salvia coccinea "lady in red" (Texas sage) seems to be one of the toughest annual sages. Mine reseed readily, and still come back after I bought the original plant about 15 years ago. Proven for all sorts of pollinators.
