I basically naturalize my perennials, (only pulling weeds and spring cleaning the beds).

To answer your question, bulbs are pretty hardy, they can be planted and never require watering from humans. There were times I planted bulbs that I totally forgot to water, and did fine when spring came around.

What I did was accidental. Though, if I were you, I would still give your bulbs a good watering once you plant them. Just once, that's all. Smiling
Not only people give others signs, but plants do too.
