How often should I water asiatic Lilly's. I just put them in the ground. They were bought from Walmart so they already have flowers on them. I Live in northwest Ohio. Thanks!

Give them a thorough watering after you plant them and walk away.

SonoveShakespeare, you never water your lilies? Ever?

I basically naturalize my perennials, (only pulling weeds and spring cleaning the beds).

To answer your question, bulbs are pretty hardy, they can be planted and never require watering from humans. There were times I planted bulbs that I totally forgot to water, and did fine when spring came around.

What I did was accidental. Though, if I were you, I would still give your bulbs a good watering once you plant them. Just once, that's all. Smiling

Thanks for answering, SonoveShakespeare.

I grow a plethora of different bulb type plants: Ariseama, Crocus, Asclepias, Scilla, Barnardia, Tulipa, Narcissus, Iris, Lycoris, Lilium, Fritillaria, Claytonia, Gladiolus, Hemerocallis, Apios, Allium, Colchicum, Trillium, etc.

In general, I do agree.

Of course, full sun or shade makes a difference, but with Lilium overall (and including Asiatics), we must agree to disagree. (Although, if you base your decision on the ubiquitous Tiger Lily, then I understand how you arrived at your thinking.)
