I started potting lilies last year to get them off the rabbit and deer's menu. The first bloom they were great (see pictures)
But this year so far the plants--while seemingly healthy--are producing tiny flowers with weak colors. (see pictures)
They have been regularly fertilized with Miracle Grow tomato fertilizer that always worked well when they were in the garden. Yesterday I whipped up a batch of high phosphorus liquid fertilizer with, charcoal filtered water, a PH of 6.5. My thinking is that perhaps they needed something not in the high nitrogen formula of Miracle Grow.
Thoughts?
