If you haven't already, check out the HMF tabs for Member Ratings and Member Comments for each rose variety you're interested in. You might be able to find answers to your many questions by perusing the information that's readily available to you on these tabs. Sometimes a rose will have numerous ratings for a range of characteristics such as bloom form, color, quantity, frequency, disease resistance, vigor, etc. Take these ratings for Cherry Parfait, for example. It's a very popular rose (I grow three of them), so it has more than 20 ratings. Statistically speaking (I'm a research analyst by profession), the combined information from 20 gardeners is more predictive of a rose's performance than the feedback from a single gardener, whose experience with a particular rose may or may not be typical.
