Being water based and end of season it won't hurt the rose. It will wear off, trust me. We have rain storms and snow storms that will wash it off and by the time spring arrives it will be mostly gone if not all the way gone. What's left by then can either be pruned off or maybe wiped off with peroxide or something like that.
