I am catching up on my fellow rose junkies. I am not getting any new roses while my poor old ones are being moved (the two adorable minis I got on sale for 2.99 with a b1g1 coupon at shop rite don't count - an apricot and a lavender mini....and a gorgeous apricot begonia). I checked the body bags, but they were all knock outs (which don't come in apricot or lavender, if they did....)

Cindy, I grow lavaglut and like it very much, I am fussy about reds. lavaglut has a warm almost russet red that isn't garish and doesn't blue. I had planned to have Lavaglut, Wildeve and a future eyeconic rose or two in the same flower bed. I have seeds for cherry vanilla (or a similar named) phlox as well. I thought the warm peachy pink rose, russet red rose and eyeconic roses (pink lemonaide and maybe regular lemonaide) would be nice together. Wildeve is the ultimate survivor, she sailed thru winter in a big pot because I hurt my shoulder before I could get her planted (You may remember I had to cut the root in two places to fit her in the pot and the main root at its smallest part was as big as my wrist.) My wildeve is own root from Walmart. If they happened to have own root roses again, I would buy some, moving or not!
