It's blooming now Bonehead?

Just beautiful, mine is starting to pop too. I'll get a picture in the AM.
Look to the left, this is from last year.

My shrub is just starting to open, early this year. I would say this shrub gets about 10' tall and perhaps 6' wide. It flowers before it leafs out, and the little clusters of flowers are sweetly fragrant, although I have to actually put my nose to it. I believe it has nice fall color as well, can't quite remember. Here's a couple more pics showing it at various stages. The flowers hang around quite awhile as you can see from the photo with leaf and bloom together.

What a lovely shrub.

A salvia. Darn thing sat around all summer and is now blooming! Smells like 7-up when you rub the leaves.

Love the color of the leaves. When the blooms arrive it will just be a bonus.

Waiting for one of you southern gardeners to start a December bloom thread. I'm woefully low on blooms up here in dreary Washington. Might be able to scare up a witch-hazel, haven't checked to see if they've opened yet.

I'll download whatever's on my camera from the last couple of days in a few hours and put that on a December thread. Thanks for the reminder, Bonehead.

I noticed last night when arriving at this motel that the beds along one side are filled with Japanese anemones...which I've been wanting to grow. It's now 2 in the a.m......do you think they'd notice if I went out and sneaked a clump? will get pics in the morning.....

your asclepias looks so healthy, tarev....I'm looking forward to things growing well and looking healthy once I'm in the land of more rain.

LOL, well, this 2012 thread still applies, my post above from Nov. 7 almost looks like this year with the same things blooming except I pulled out the honeysuckle, it looked too ratty for that satellite pergola location.

I have loved seeing your amazing collection of suggulents. And you have given me some very useful information for growing them in my zone 8. I have since found that many of them can be kept outdoors here, as long as I keep them on the dry side.

Anemones blooming at the motel in Lebec, Ca.

Sherry that is an impressive stand of Japanese anemone. Looks like it could be 'Honorine Jobert'.

I've been thinking about the anemones for quite awhile, but right now am thinking what I really want in my life is the redwoods and bigleaf maples and fall color shrubs-trees....but I do like those anemones.
