Those are really good. It's what I use in both my bedroom when it gets really cold and my greenhouse. DH has one he uses out in the shop, too.

Tarev - my paperwhites always bloom in Oct/November too. The white ones bloom first, and then the yellow ones in late November/December. I bought some years ago for forcing, but did not like the smell at all. I planted them in the garden after the first year, and they are fine outside since the smell is not so obvious.

Dianne, I've always felt the same about the scent of the paperwhites..a 'chemical' smell to me and couldn't understand why other people like the scent...lol..
They were banished to the out of doors....but they are lovely.

I have to agree about the scent! Oddly enough, I actually kind of like it when they're outdoors, but just can't abide it indoors. I have a small clump of them that never bloom; need to move them to a better spot. Sigh, DH keeps mistaking them for tall grass and hacks them down with the weedeater.

Beautiful tarev. The last hooray for the growing season.

I still have penstemon, agastache, viola, delosperma, armeria, gentian blooming, and one of the hellebore doing a fall blooming cycle. I didn't know they would do that.

Thanks Lynn Big Grin Feels uplifting to see the blooms holding on..some of my winter growing succulents are waking up too, so it is adding some renewed vigor in the garden.

Oh lucky you to still have violas! I was able to grow them one Spring season..but then it got totally wiped out by summer.

The violas seem to thrive here in the Pacific Northwest, Willamette Valley, Oregon.
And I forgot, the Toad Lilies are blooming up a storm right now, along with the cyclamen.

Okay...I got nuthin'.....

No, I do have some violets starting, now that you've mentioned viola....there was a patch here that had been overgrown through the years with grass that I've been tediously weeding out lately.

I've noticed around town that the tibouchina are still flowering....hydrangea also. I'll have to take my cam with me and see what else is currently flowering here....

The erysimum / Wallflower Bowles' Mauve was here, well established, has been constantly in bloom also...

Salvia elegans / Pineapple Sage is blooming still, need to take cuttings

Some small sages are blooming a bit....s. rhionosa, s. azurea, s. atrocyanea, s. coccinea, etc... I don't know if they will make it through our waterlogged Winter in the ground where they are, but if I get seed from them, then that's okay...I will be able to see if they make it through the Winter where they are and if not, I will still have seed from gthem to sow and place in better spots next Spring.

Oh, I also had clarkia seed that I wanted to keep going to get seed from, so I had just tossed them into some potted things so they could continue on....and they have...clarkia will bloom for a long, extended period here due to our cool weather, so they're still in flower also....same with sweet peas, they will bloom all summer long here....need to start seed soon...

Wow, Sherry you have a lot still blooming. Kudos on the seed saving.

The sun is out today, a good time to go out and take photos of what is blooming today.

Sue, I've been watching your blog. I sure enjoy it.
