The Hosta started coming up a bit over a week ago now. But the leaves on all but a few have not opened yet. Most of my plants have been breaking ground over the past 2 weeks. Just hoping that these guys just need a little more time then the others.

None of them have come up yet. I do have hopes for one of them but no sign at all of the other 3. Still hoping for the best but the natives have been up for over a month and are in flower now.

they are 3 years old and maybe your winter which they have never experienced put them into shock
if so they will hide for a year and will still be there next spring
if you know exactly where they are you can dig one up to check

Right now there are little white stubs sticking up out of the ground about 1/2 inch high where 3 of them where. One is soft 2 are somewhat firm , one of these 2 is starting to show some green in it. No sign of the forth one. We are having a cold Spring so I am hoping when things warm up a bit some might show up.

NJBob, as in Podophyllum peltatum Mayapple? Yes I do have a patch of those. Few years back someone gave me seeds of podophyllum hexandrum, I believe Kaleydoscope was mentioned but I think it is hexandrum as spots do fade as plant grows. It took few years for it to grow and this was first year it bloomed.
I have patches of arisaemas and Jacks multiplying so it is happy place LOL

Dick one of the Spotty Dottys finally broke ground, small but at least I know it made it. And I am pretty sure 2 of the others are going to be coming up soon.

Ellen sounds nice, would love to see some pictures. Hexandrum is on the want list.

Julia did you ever make your trip to Keeping it Green, get anything interesting?

No have not made the trip. Had an unexpected trip with my oldest. Cross country drive from Salt Lake to Chicago. Also my container clients have been keeping me busy. Spring was a long time coming then boom spring.

i have purchased hexandrum twice now from the varigated pict on line
http://www.farreachesfarm.com/...
they start out with a little variegated markings but loose it fast and they wind up looking like yours Sad haven't got bloom yet
