Tara all I can say is "Oh Oh!" and also Welcome! to another danger zone!! I've been very good about looking and not leaping at these plants! A friend has some of them, and many do great here in Seattle because it can be so damp! Thumbs up I'd love to see your babies if you want to post photos! I tip my hat to you.

I've never heard of these plants until I read Tarev's thread here of her Pinguicula. Afterwards, I took a couple of photos of other Butterworts (Pinguiculas) at a nursery in Northern California called California Carnivores.

The Nepenthes was my introduction into Carnivorous plants. They haven't been as difficult as I had heard. Either that, or I've just been really lucky so farโ€ฆThese are my babies that are now looking for a new friend! Blinking Ping!!! Hilarious!

Thanks for sharing your photos Tara! So lovely lovely Lovey dubby

I wish I have the humidity for it.. Sad way too dry here in my area. How do you water it..is it picky with the type of water?

Thanks Bev, and tarev, Yes they do prefer rain over all else, and that can be a problem for us occasionally. When we have a lack of rain, I do water with distilled. I have on occasion watered with tap that has set for at least 24 hours, and I've not seen any huge 'dislike', but I try to play it safe, and keep distilled on hand.

What have you found with the Pings? Are they at all picky?

My Pings are not picky at all..actually I just keep the container sitting in water, I just use tap water and it prefers shade. Thrives well.

Rain...a precious thing here..no rain from April to November..though it is raining now a bit Smiling which is just on cue. Smiling
