Betty...lovely blooms. Well done.
Rainy, overcast blah day, today. Weatherman promises warmer weather is on the way through next Monday. That's good because I have major plants in my garden that haven't as yet bloomed this year, and have scapes with buds on them. I want them all to have the best chance to open well. So have my fingers crossed.
I do have a few pictures of blooms I took yesterday that are lovely.
COUNT YOUR ASSETS - Still in its normal bloom cycle. I measured this bloom with a ruler, it was just under 8"across. Amazing! And it opened with nightime temps in the mid 50's.

HAPPY HAPPY - I had 2 blooms from one scape on this plant back in July, and a 2nd scape now is just full of buds. This plant seems to be increasing nicely in size now, with 4 fans.
ELVIS - Opening perfectly for once! I love this plant. It has been here for several summers, and only this year has it bloomed for me.
And finally, my little one year old seedling bloomed for the last time yesterday. The scape actually had 5 blooms on it, 2 were lost to heavy rainstorms, and were unphotographable. I will put the first bloom up which I took on Aug. 2, and yesterday's bloom, side by side, and you can compare them to see if you see any changes, and where this seedling is heading. Right now bloom size is 5". Here is Alex's Little Baby Sdlg.,
