No wheelkicking since '96. I really miss it,there just isnt any market left.

Good therapy though, even with no market.

But I no longer have access to a wheel or kiln, so I don't even sculpt now. I do have about 300 pounds of moist clay living in my garage. Been there for 6 years, still moist and airtight. Someday I'll get in a mood and do something.

It was a big life change for me when I took down the gas kiln and sold the electric one.
I can use GF's studio if I want.

I might have a container or two, but most of the sculpture I did while teaching and before digital cameras. Usually we sold things like that at end of year sales to make money for the art department. I probably don't have anything here. I'm not a great sculptor, better with coil building and surface design on thrown pots, but I've made a head or two along the way. I could teach sculpting better than I could create it usually. Funny how that works.

I loved sculpting and biulding large objects using nearly dry slabs.I made patterns just like cutting out a dress ,so I could reproduce the same piece for wholesale customers,galleries and etc.
I was trainedby a Bauhouse student who knew Walter Gropeus (sp) he escaped Germany duering WW2 and came here and tought clay where I went to school.

I never use them because of the iron in the glaze and was thinking of using the bowl as a pot, but haven't. So they are just decorative.

I took a nap and am having relly low sugar.
I am literaly sitting here chugging Hersheys syrup.
Its such a pleasure if not dangerous.
I will buy some brownie mix and make my own brownies.

Easy to overindulge in chocolate, especially brownies.
