Hi, Allison. I'm Nancy and I live in "the other New York,"........meaning the rest of the State outside of New York City. I'm just about as far away from NYC as you can get, and still be in New York. And I'm just a quick 20 minute drive from one of the most awesome sites in this country. Niagara Falls.
We own the vacant lot next to our house, It's mostly grass, but much of it is garden area. You can see the backyard mural my husband and son painted on the side of our garage
HERE.
We have birch trees, maple trees, dogwood trees, a Japanese maple, hostas, hydrangeas, lilies, black-eyed susans, irises, roses, phlox, daisies, potentilla, tulips, daffodils, crocuses, sedum, heuchera, azaleas, rose of sharon, peonies, lilies of the valley, bleeding heart, a couple more that I'm sure I'm forgetting, and a special plant given to me by a lady from Bulgaria. It's named Zdravetz, or Bulgarian Geranium.
That's me and that's my garden.
