I envy all your lovely roses. The last two winters really did a number on my roses.
Some died back to the snow line and didn't rebound well and even some very hardy OGR's have died back.
But part of that could be my lack of regularly fertilizing them as well.
I think I'm going to shovel prune some and not replace due to the beetle problems.
I'm thinking I want to plant more Lilies because many are so fragrant and the beetles
aren't as attracted to them as rose.
Any suggestions for other plants (flowering shrubs) that would be good replacement for roses?
I really can't think of anything I would love as much as roses.
It would be so much easier if I was a hosta geek.
