Our forecast is for a very "nasty' winter, extreme cold, ice, and snow. That's not at all typical and I don't know how my garlic will do with that kind of extreme winter weather. I will mulch mine with 4-6 of oak leaves for sure and hope for the best. I know, y'all in the north who grow garlic are probably laughing at me. What's extreme for me might be considered normal or even mild for you.
