I would love that in the summer, with some cooldown but above freezing in the winter. A warm winter means a drought. Thumbs down

That used to be much of our summers here. On average, we'd only get 5 days a year that were over 80 degrees. Hasn't been that way in years now. The only up side to this is we now have much milder winters. I do like that.

We had storms over night. I don't like those things, but at least the "booms" ans overnight weather radio alarms have been minimal this summer. I am patiently waiting for winter and I really hope the fellow who made the map is wrong.

This was the year Iowa had its third highest snowfall ever. The only reason we were able to get out of the driveway is a neighbour has a tractor sized snow plow.

Oh, forgot about another picture from that year... That same neighbour had to use his snow blower to open up the road because the county people gave up.

No, I actually LOVE winter & snow. I just don't have any idea how to drive in the stuff & frankly it scares the you know what out of me. But if someone else is doing the snow clearing I could totally dig spending a week or 2 or even a month in it as long as I didn't have to live "real life" like get back & forth to work & such. To just go enjoy & play in it? GAME ON!

LOLOL, weedwhacker! :D

Not only did we get snow that year, we got ice! None of the big limbs fell on the house, but we jumped a time or two.

I think we lost power when I took this picture, but the kitchen usually is in the 60-65 degree range in the winter because it's on the north side of the house.
Thumb of 2015-09-08/Chillybean/80e066

I enjoy winter and that year we had a lot of it, for sure. Smiling I am grateful no one was injured. We were inconvenienced a time or two, but that was it.

The worst part about winter for me isn't the snow and ice, or the cold, but the extended periods without sunshine! That can really be a drag... I think I must be solar powered, gloomy weather totally saps my energy Thumbs down

I would not mind if this forecast is correct, according to them we would be warmer with less snow. Here in MN I do not mind less snow in the least, even after all these years of winter driving here it can still be a challenge and even scary at times.

I'm looking forward to that wet winter. Some of my stuff is looking so tired from the drought. Real rain does something that irrigation does not plus we have water rationing anyway.

DH and I don't like winter. Don't like snow. The older we get, the less we like it. Don't like driving in it, shoveling it, and/or walking in it. Don't like freezing rain/ice either. Sighing! Thumbs down

I am with you Marilyn. I hate it. I love it Christmas Eve though. But I want 70 Christmas morning so I can get around to everybody and everyone can get to my house for the celebration.

One year we had a sudden ice storm just as I started driving down a hill. Truck in front of me started to spin and I started sliding right at him unable to stop. I ended up under his truck. Alive but scared to death.

On the other hand I hated this summer when we were in the 90s for weeks. I hated that too. I could not go out. I could not take off enough cloths. There were times I went to the store I should have been arrested for indecent exposure Rolling on the floor laughing

I love winter. I have always maintained you can always put on more clothes but you can only get so naked.

The heat is just miserable. I can see the jobs that have to be done from different windows but it wears me out to even give it a good shot. I'll take 60 to 70 all year long - bliss.
