I love All Ashore, might have to break down and order that one!
Brad, I've noticed most photos of Barbara Rider look more blue than purple on the falls, but the catalog description calls it purple and yellow. Is it more blue or purple to your eye?

Hope you guys enjoyed the Mid America pictures we had a great time there and can't wait to visit again excited to see the next generation of there seedlings blooming and walk the fields again with Thomas and Paul
The next stop was Mr. Keppel's garden I had a wonderful time visiting with him and over all his seedlings and of course seeing Barry's new plants is always a treat. I think his garden was at peak the few days I was there it was stunning so many unique and different plants, very inspiring to see that many excellent seedlings in one garden and be able to learn from them and as a added bonus the majority are clearly marked with names so you know where they came from it helps to see what the best are using in there Hybridizing and see the future generations coming from those crosses when your Pollen daubing so I thought I would share some of the landscape pictures 1st and then some of my favorite seedling pictures and the few he mentioned in the catalog as potentials
Neal.. I didn't get to see a lot of that one fully opened it is very late but I do remember thinking of the few that were open was it was perfect, everything about that one was good, beautiful form, plant growth, the stalk and branch were nice and it will be one of the last to bloom in the garden. I want to cross everything too it My picture of it was taken late in the day with cloud cover but if I tried to photograph it in full sun it would probably look more purple than in the picture. It is growing here well and should bloom so I'll give u a update in May
This 1st seedling has been one of my favorites the past few years when visiting it calls your name from across the garden we loved everything about it the beards, the color, and loaded with ruffles Kieth mentioned this one in the catalog as a potential for 2017
06-116 A ( Gypsy Lord X Jazz Band)
Another one that had great color impact, was stunning up close and would stand out in the garden.
07-60A ( Red Skies X Gypsy Lord)
What A Pink and what a color would love to have some of this one at home to work with it a really good pedigree would love to mix it with some of Joe's
07-139A (Performaning Arts X Venita Faye)
Love all 3, but that first one blows me away! I'd Kill for that second one, and those fields of irises, just are amazing.
Let me make a guess here, I'm guessing that Leslie and Mary Ann are going to fall for that second one too! And Mary Ann loves the pink ones so she'll like that one as well.

Awesome photos of amazingly beautiful iris blooms! Just when you think they have created every color combination imaginable they come up with these. The first one is an outstanding bloom and has just about everything you would want in a spring garden. The second one is a very complex mix of colors and makes other irises of similar color look like they missed the mark. The pink is a lovely raspberry pink not often found in irises. Most pinks have a warm cast, or peach influence to them. This iris has an orange beard and still maintains the cool pink color..... and ruffles on them all.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
