Thanks Kim. That would be nice. Honestly, I'd rather have the plants, but I doubt that will happen.

I've had very good experiences on the LA for the last 4 or 5 years, until this happened. I'll probably just stick with those I know. This guy had a perfect rating and the comments people left made the guy sound very generous. Maybe he fell on hard times and decided to take the wrong road?

Sorry you had a bad experience with Aginn, Steven McGinniss. I can tell you that I bought seeds from him in 2008 that had a lot of poly genetics and had a few email exchanges about polys with him. I even have him listed in my "approved" list of LA sellers since everything at that time was satisfactory. I guess I will have to take him off.

Gosh, I don't know? Mike is wondering if he got ill, had an accident or something. Though I hate to think he's hurt or worse, I do hope there's a good reason for this. I hope we find out. The feedback on him was great and went back several years.

Blueridge sends wonderful plants as does subhanaflourishing, and bnich. I have recently bought from Singing Oaks, Tim Bell and the Ellers. All send big husky plants. Most of these sellers send bonus plants too. I recently paid for some lily bulbs from annelanegardens (Hettenhouser) in Pennsylvania. I never received them. I got an e-mail that they lost their crop and would refund my money. I did not receive it and when I wrote them, they wrote back a rather strongly worded note. The house at their address is for sale and their phone is disconnected. I have left a negative feedback for them and contacted the Pennsylvania Attorney General.
I have a policy that I do not move the money from my Paypal account to my bank until I actually ship the plants and receive positive feedback. I treat it as a sort of trust account. I had one complaint with a plant that did not get delivered in the expected two day window and was looking dry. I offered to replace it but the customer wrote back that it was putting up a scape. I still will replace it if he is unhappy.

I had one issue with Aginn a couple of years ago and it was a plant he sent me that died. I was hoping that he would replace it but he didn't. I realize that not all sellers will replace plants that you loose to crown rot because it can be something in the soil that causes that.

Awesome news. I just received an Email from Mike Longo. He sent this message from Aginn, Steven McGinniss...
(Quote) Sorry for the delays. I'll be shipping all orders in next 5/10 days. I'll also be running some clearance priced sales when things settled with these orders. I will no longer be maintaining and selling registered plants, but when back on my feet, sell my own crosses. It's been a bitter decision, but lack of sales has forced a lot of changes here. I don't have the time to do what I love most, working with daylilies. I have to choose which ones are most important and dedicate what time I have to them.
Steven McGinniss

Oh, and I received my plants from the seller here yesterday. She was very generous and the plants look as fresh as if she just dug them and handed them to me. I'm very happy.

Hurray! It sounds like things will end well for you after all. Sorry to here Aginn will be having to give up what he loves.

I just set a record - my personal best - sold a daylily on the DL in eight minutes. It was Bee's Betty Sue. This picture does not show the midrib ruffling.

I got my order from Aginn today. I'm very VERY pleased. Wow! these were all bought as double fans and he sent lots of extras. Some even have scapes. Just beautiful plants!
I'd buy from him again. So sorry he's having hard times, and I really hope things get better for him soon.

I got APPLE JACK a Kropf double, BLUE DIANA an old J Lambert I've been wanting for awhile, INDY LONG LEGS and LAUGHING FEATHER.

I've had good experiences on the LA.

I have purchased plants from:
Mlijomo (James Hall)
Westend (Tom Maddox)
Hemguy (I can't remember his name)
And one other that I cannot seem to find the slip for.

I've purchased seeds from Ladylovingdove and they were healthy and packaged nicely.

I will also chime in that I have purchased plants directly from the Funderburkes, though they are closing their nursery, and the Maryotts. Both have been exceptional.
