The Tiny is a sweet colour.

You were fortunate, Ursula - I'm really hoping someone can retrieve my data too. We'll see when everyone's back to work tomorrow!

Well it is worth say twice (and now thrice).

I think we have all had some kind of similar disaster. I've not lost any of my computer data/photos/etc., but I did lose what was on my camera's SD card once, when I put it in a friend's computer. It was "safe to remove" before I retrieved it, but apparently not. Sad

Good news! Data retrieved and safe on an external hard drive. I just have to make the trip back up to town now to collect it. Smiling

In the meantime, here's a seedling I photographed today and quite like. It's from Brian Bergman:

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!
So glad to hear that your data could be saved, Della and it's a lovely seedling as well!

I actually run some backups as I type this. My old computer is getting really difficult and cranky to boot up these days and a replacement is on it's way. Should have replaced it a long time really as there were warning signs, but as long as it sort of worked I ignored it *Blush* I do always keep several backups of the most important stuff, but sometimes it can get a little long between the backups, so your story, while horrible is for sure a good reminder Thank You!

Great news, Della!!!!!!!!!!! I'm really happy you were able to save the pictures - it's sort of our graphic history or the history of our plants .....

That seedling is beautiful Lovey dubby

Today's blooms:

This is the orange (spotless) motherplant of the scale-produced-bulbs I gave away (still have 3 original bulbs and 3 new-from-scale bulbs are blooming as well):

Thumb of 2015-12-03/Mutisia/466387

These pretty babies I grew from seed obtained either from Leftwood or from Buggycrazy. It's funny, the last 3 bulbs to bloom from these seeds (2 seasons ago) were downfacing, whilst all the others were outward-facing. Now they are all outward-facing Sticking tongue out Do they have a name?

Thumb of 2015-12-03/Mutisia/cb78e4

These beauties were also obtained from seeds (Leftwood did not recognize them, so they must be from Buggycrazy). The flowers are larger than any commercial asiatic hybrid I have:

Sorry, but this NOID Tiny is so cute, that I simply had to post 2 more pictures *Blush*

For a seed grown group, I am not seeing any variation in the flowers or stem growth. Other than outfacing or downfacing, do they all essentially look the same?

Yes, now they are all uniformly outward-facing, Rick.

The colour, shape and marks are all the same: pretty, very pretty!

That's quite unusual for a single cross like what I do. If Lisa(Buggycrazy) was developing a seed strain where all the seedlings basically look the same, they are far more likely to be from her seed.

Tomorrow I will take pictures of each of the plants in flower, so you can compare (provided we don't have a windy day). Your eyes are better trained than mine Big Grin

Ursula----are you saying that all of the seedlings were like this? Or, are these just the ones you selected from that batch of seedlings to keep. If there were more seedlings, what were they like; was there variation? It's a very nice flower and good looking plant.

Lorn, my eyes are not as Lilium-educated/trained as yours and Ricks (and others' on this forum), but I would say they look just the same and they are different bulbs obtained from seeds either Rick or Lisa sent me years ago.

These bulbs have already developed some baby bulbs at the underground part of the stem. The 5 largest bulbs I had from the seed batch, no longer exist - they were planted two or 3 years ago in a large planter and rodents dug/ate them last winter, but baby bulbs remained (no flower buds this season).

I gave one large bulb to my neighbour at that time, but I am not sure this one is still alive.

Last year I planted two pots with 3 adult bulbs each (one with alkaline soil and one with acid soil, and 4 pots with one bulb each. Tomorrow I will take pictures of all the ones in bloom (the 3 bulbs in acid soil are the ones of the picture posted today - the ones in alcaline soil have not opened their buds so far and were more or less of the same size). Keep your fingers crossed there is no wind tomorrow (very usual here during the warm season).

Ursula, I think your NOID Tiny looks a lot like 'Tiny Bell' that I grow here. It's my very favorite of all the Tiny Series.

Thank you folk, sharing my relief that the data is good. I still haven't been to the fixit shop to get it back yet, and I've noticed a funny thing... I could live without it! Hilarious! *Blush* But I won't have to. Big Grin

I still haven't mastered the new applications of this windows 10 system I'm using, and I have a bunch of lily pics to post but haven't sat down to process them. So I'll have to apologise for having no pics today. Ursula, yours are looking great!
