Well, if something major doesnt happen, I will be back on seedlings this coming year. I also went a little crazy on seeds. Go figure.
This has been far more enjoyable than funeral planning, which I was doing this time last year. Im guessing you have guessed who helped get me thru, without ever knowing or saying a word

Well, like many hybridizers, that is the best picture, on the best day, . Its got about 5 siblings, if I could mix them all, I would have a winner. It doesnt have great plant habbits, altho its good and tall, it fades in the hot sun. I am however, going to try to improve it. I will say, they do have some of the best green throats Ive seen.

Pam - I have to agree that your bloom avatar is really lovely. I think you are right ... the green throat really makes it stand out!

Hi all--I'm new here so I'll have to play catchup and read some earlier posts. In the meantime, does anyone know what's up with Earlybird (Calderon)? She's been dumping an awful lot of her seedlings at the auction recently. Has anyone bought from her? Is she reliable as far as her claim that these seedlings will increase their bud count if given better growing conditions? Many thanks for any light you can shed on this issue.

I talked to her recently and I know she has been selling out most of her plants because the drought hit her area pretty bad last year and she couldn't afford to keep so many plants all watered. I don't know how good her seedlings are though.

I have ordered from her before and got nice plants. I didn't buy seedlings tho.

She always seems to have had a much larger amount of seedlings listed than anyone else, at least for the past 4 or 5 years. Every year I see her with all those seedlings listed and think...'you should do that'. I of course take the easy route...cull.

I have bought plants from her, just not in the past few years.

Royalcrownjewel This person is selling on the LA and has only been a buyer but know selling. Anyone know this person?

Going to bump this thread up. I see that Royalcrownjewel is also dumping quite a few DL on the auction. I see where they have bought quite a few but have only sold 2-3. Could be they are just getting to where they have enough stock to start selling some. Does anyone know who this is? If OK I may bid on a few.
