Just trying to get a closer look of the peduncle of Hoya Kerrii variegata...did very well during the recent heat wave..continues to grow...




and I saw a 2nd peduncle on the other side..woohoo! Sorry a bit blurred..

I guess we'll settle for peduncle growth and development of a second one...for now...;)

yeah! As long as it is not blasting or drying out !

As we continue on our heat wave...finally Hoya kerrii variegata in bloom! We are going to hit around 104F later ugh! At least I see something nice in bloom!

Correction now...it does have a nice scent! Reminds me of a mild jasmine scent

Hi!! Also a hoya lover. Used to grow many of them when I was growing up in FL but having a hard time with houseplants here in PA. They grow well in the summer outside but often "dry out" with the inside heat. Have one hoya in bloom now and just got another today. Just "orphans" from the local Walmart/Home Depot but they are still beautiful!!

Hoya mindensoris MJ, Can you post a picture of the whole plant. I am not familiar with your plants.We just can't get the variety that warmer climates seem to get.
H. carnosa compacta & H. carnosa krimson queen.They look the same but the leaves are very different.Compacta is the curly leaves & the KQ has white in the center and green around the edges of the leaves.


One stem is pink and all the leaves on that stem are completely white. It's odd but really pretty.Unfortunately the only photo's i can find right quick like of both of the entire plants are from last summer.I do need to take photo's for this summer.
You can see the pink stem and white-pinkish leaves only on the pink stem.The 2nd photo is the compacta in bloom last summer.
