I would rather have extra fans myself than a gift plant.

As far as Bonuses go, I am happy with both, I can trade the stuff I don't want. I just don't like it when someone jacks up my shipping so they can throw their junk daylilies in there and call them a bonus. I got a couple last year that were very rust prone and I threw them into the trash. I was not happy about paying extra postage for them. LOL.

Has anyone ordered from Earthstar before?? I really like the plants I got from him, plus he was way nice to give me a refund on a plant because it was small. I only paid 5.00 for this triple fan, I almost expected it to be small. So he gave me a refund and gave me the plant. He sent extra fans of everything!! I ordered 12 fans of Prairie Moonlight and he sent 20, Pirate's Patch I order a triple fan and he sent five fans, the list goes on and on. Very generous man and very healthy plants.

I got my fan of Whale Tails today from Lalambchop, Leslie Mauck. I also got a nice bonus of Azure Wings. I look forward to Azure WIngs blooming because I haven't purchased any new spiders in years. I think it will be a nice addition.

I'm so excited about Whale Tails. It's one of those that I saw last year for the first time when Michele mentioned it. Oh, I wanted one of these but I knew if Michele was having trouble getting a SF of it, I was not going to be able to find one, much less afford it. Well, time went by and I was browsing the LA and OOOOOOHHHHH there was a fan for sale and no one had bid on it and it was a really great price. I put my bid in and crossed my fingers and toes and waited. To make a long story shorter, all my dear ATP friends that would have normally bid on it, saw my bid and they didn't bid against me and I won the plant for about $50 less than I had ever figured I'd find a fan for. Happpppy Happpy Happpppy me. I really felt sorry for Leslie, but she has been so wonderful and never once appeared disappointed that it didn't sell for more. She's fantastic and I will definitely be watching for more of her auctions this fall. She sent me alot of emails to make sure she shipped the plant when I wanted it and this is an issue that has shown up on here several times, so she's just all around GREAT! Mona

Julia, The website seems alive and well but no mention of plants, On the LA there is no mention of tools or markers/tags.

Hi Susan, I'm Monalisa18 on LA. I do sell on there, some. Really just started that last fall with some seeds. I hope to do more this year. I buy way way too much, but I was a good girl last year and didn't go overboard on buying.

I just double checked on the LA. If you're looking for labels or tools, there are bunches listed under the "Daylily Store - Garden tools". I've bought stuff from them and always been pleased with what I get.

I think he used to sell on LA, then stopped, but I seem to remember that he had started back. Maybe I'm confusing him with someone else. I couldn't find a listing for him on LA either. If I was you, go to his website and send him an email. I'm sure he will let you know.

Isn't Earthstar's name on the LA Pollendabber? He did stop selling for a while and sent all of his previous customers a message to that effect. But then he did come back to sell on the LA again.
I'm pretty sure this is his name and have bought tags from him a number of times on the LA. Need to order more soon!

He might be, people are calling him Ed when they give feedback. But when you pull up Pollendabber on the LA there is no name, no profile, and no email address. Earthstar has been free with his name and email address. It is right there on his profile and on his website. I think he even gives his physical address.

Pollendabber is from Winchester Ky. Dont know anything about Earthstar

I received 80 or so fans from him yesterday. What's most impressive is he was able to FedEx all in one big box for around $22. The fans have good root systems and he's very friendly.

Earthstar is Ed Hartsell. We have always gotten wonderful plants with extra fans each time we have won daylilies from him on the Lily Auction. He also sold hybridizing related "tools" on the Lily Auction.
